Is Your Home More List Ready Than You Realize?
May 27, 2022
If you are a potential seller you may be concerned about the amount of time you will have to put into getting your home ready before you can actually list your home. However, you might be interested to know that your home could be closer to “list ready” than you think. A recent survey done by Realtor.com tells us that homeowners who listed their properties took less than 30 days to get it completely ready and listed. About twenty percent of people who listed said that process took them less than 2 weeks.
There are so few listings out there, even though that number is slowly growing, people are ready to get properties listed and agents are pushing on their end to get everything they need lined up in a super timely manner.
One thing we have also noticed this year is that home prices and mortgage rates are now on the rise so buyers are even more anxious or in a hurry to find the home that suits them. With so few properties out there some buyers may be willing to take on a few projects after they purchase them home.
Because of this you may not have to finish as many of those little petty projects you were thinking you would have to before you can list your home on the market. The three things that are the most popular small projects sellers have done to get their home list ready over the past year is landscaping such as mulching or planting a few flowers, minor cosmetic updates such as replacing a light fixture or faucet, and lastly touch up paint.
Your trusted real estate agent, that’s me, will help you streamline this process and know exactly what are the most important things to check off before your home is list ready. But the bottom line in this market is this: Your home really might be more list ready than you think! So, don’t hesitate, call me today and let me get started working for you! I want to be YOUR realtor!
